Body
You Know “Wa”?
Intro….
[Thesis statement]
The Japanese spirit of “Wa” cannot be defined easily, but it would be to value harmony, courtesy, and sensing the atmosphere in a group instead of valuing an individual.
Body1….Body2….Body3….[Conclusion] Misunderstanding of Japanese culture sometimes makes people think Japanese people really love to follow the national or cultural rule. However, the truth is “Wa” put more importance on being in harmony, having courtesy, and picking up someone’s feeling. Because most Japanese people think it is the best way to live in a society, they consider that the more they help others, the more they are given a hand by others. Thus, they treat others as they want to be treated, so they are polite and helpful to others and try not to make a conflict in most case by guessing others’ feelings.

Final thought(エッセイを通して見えた新たな発見)を書く

Thus, they treat others as they want to be treated, so they are polite and helpful to others and try not to make a conflict in most case by guessing others’ feelings. At the bottom of hearts, people know they cannot live in a society without relying on someone. However, because depending on others does not seem cool for some of them, they misunderstand that fact, try to make themselves look independent from others, and sometimes tend to become selfish. In contrast, because the Japanese realize that they cannot live alone, they take care of one another. The awful catastrophe left huge damages on Japan yet it also reminded people of a truth; any natural disaster cannot defeat mind of Japanese people. The mind which is supporting each other no matter what happens composes the Japanese spirit of “Wa.”
